The Company was founded in 1994 by Brian C Wood who purchased 31,000 square feet of retail space in Lexington Kentucky. Accordingly, he organized BC Wood Companies (later renamed BC Wood Properties) to engage in the acquisition, ownership, development, re-development, construction, management, leasing, and expansion of retail shopping centers. Through hard work and the commitment to succeed, Brian has evolved BC Wood Properties, and its related entities, from the modest 31,000 square feet to approximately 3.6 million square feet today, comprised of retail and commercial property located in Kentucky and Tennessee.

BC Wood Properties leases and manages all of its own properties with office locations in Lexington and Louisville Kentucky. With talented individuals in place, the Company is positioned to continue its expansion and is presently pursuing a strategy of acquiring portfolios of shopping centers.
