March 13, 2018 – LEXINGTON, KY  – Lexington residents traveling on Winchester Road may have noticed changes taking place at Eastland Shopping Center over the past few months. Eastland Shopping Center, which is located on the corner of Winchester Road and New Circle Road, is currently undergoing a 1.5–million-dollar renovation. The renovation will include façade work, a fresh coat of paint, and an updated pylon sign. This renovation also includes the new Central Roll Call Center for the Fayette County Police Department which opened in August of 2017.

Eastland Shopping Center was the first shopping center of its kind in Lexington, opening in 1957. Lexington based commercial real estate company, BC Wood Properties, owns and manages Eastland Shopping Center. “Eastland Shopping Center is a highly visible center on a main corridor of Lexington, we want to improve the look of the center as it is often one of the first retail centers seen by many visitors of our great city,” said Brian Wood, CEO and Founder of BC Wood Properties.

Since renovations began in 2017, BC Wood Properties has noticed an increase in leasing calls about the center and has recently welcomed new tenant, Upgrade Dance Studio, to the shopping Center.

BC Wood Properties focuses exclusively on the acquisition and operation of value-add retail shopping centers in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S.
